The banner design at the top of every page is consistent across the entire Ohio Exploration Society website. There have been several designs and variations over the years. This page was created to commemorate each banner and the years they served the OES website. After all, we don’t want to forget our own history!
The original OES banner served from 2000 to 2002.
Similar to the original banner, this banner included a new slogan and served from 2002 to 2004.
This banner was a complete redesign that didn’t rely on an outside website to generate. Made with MS Word, it served from 2004 until 2006.
A slightly redesigned banner from the previous generation added grading effects. It served from 2006 until 2008.
This banner included a new font, new shading, and the state’s flag centered in Ohio. It served from 2008 to 2011.
This banner debuted in late 2011 as the OES website was overhauled to incorporate CSS coding. It was the first banner to be made with Photoshop and served from 2011 to 2012.
This banner debuted in January 2013. It featured the state flag embedded within the state of Ohio and a new render for the buckeye leaf. It served from 2013 to 2014.
This slightly modified banner debuted in September 2014 with a de-textured buckeye leaf. It served until May 2020.
We tweaked our slogan for the first time since 2002 and debuted this banner in May 2020. It serves as our current banner.
