The OES visited Pancake Cemetery on October 18, 2002. Located just behind the Pancake Schoolhouse on Selsor-Moon Road, this small cemetery was in decent shape at the time of our visit. Many of the tombstones here dated from the mid-to-late 1800s and were in fairly good condition. The cemetery is rumored to contain the unmarked burials of children who were supposedly killed during an Indian raid at the school on the same property. We have not been able to find any information that confirms this story, se we are not sure if it is true or not. The surrounding field is sometimes used for cattle, so if you decide to check out the cemetery, beware of the animals. If you have any information, please email .
