General Information
Slate Run Metro Park is one of the most active parks in the Columbus area. It is the only park of it's kind in Central Ohio with a complete Living Historical Farm. We visited the park and it's historical farm on June 23, 2002. All of us who went that day had grown up in the city, so it was a thrill looking at all of the farm animals, as well as how life really was in the 1880s. The Gothic Revival house used by the historical farm was built in 1856, and the barn was built in 1881. Both have been fully restored to their 1880s state and use.
