Girton
Girton Dairy Farm - The ghost of a car accident victim is said to open the door of his former bedroom at night. His bedroom is now used for storage and is always closed and locked at night, but when the sun rises, the door can be found unlocked and slightly open. (Thanks to Russell Aldrich for submitting this haunting).
Melmore
Melmore Elementary School - This school is supposedly haunted by at least four spirits including an old superintendent, a little girl, a janitor, and various teachers who've died within the school many years ago. The ghostly disturbances began when a construction school began preparing the school for demolition. Townspeople would see the school light up despite the fact that the electricity had been shut off and others would hear strange noises.
Old Fort
Screaming Mimi Bridge - The ghost of a woman named Mimi is said to haunt the bridge, screaming wildly if you park your car and flash your headlights. It is believed that Mimi is angry because she was forced to kill her baby born out of wedlock. She threw the infant over the edge of the bridge and went insane.
Republic
Train Bridge - Directly below the bridge is a small town cemetery. There have been reports of seeing a light and a train coming from nowhere and then disappearing.
Tiffin
Heidelberg College - Three buildings on the college campus are said to be haunted, the first of which is France Hall. A ghost named Ellen is said to roam the halls, locking students out of their rooms, and makes weird noises from the attic. Cold spots are felt in the basement, and things move around by themselves in the kitchen. Smoke detectors go off for no apparent reason and a mysterious dark-haired woman is seen. The catacombs under Founders Hall is the scene of mysterious shadows and various noises. Radios turn off and on by themselves. Willard Hall's basement is haunted by an apparition that occasionally scares students.
Ritz Theater - The tunnels beneath the theater is said to be haunted by several ghosts, who occasionally make appearances.
Sunrise Retirement Home - This retirement home was built on the former site of the Schwan Hotel, that had caught on fire years before and stood vacant until it was razed. The retirement home seemed to inherit the hotel's ghosts, who are said to act up after hours.
