The OES visited Clime Cemetery on November 15, 2001. Just off Clime Road in Columbus, this cemetery is hard to spot unless you're looking for it. The cemetery dates back to 1840 with some notable local people buried there. Adam Alkire and Conrad Clime are two of them. They helped establish the area on the southwest side of Columbus and both have roads named after them. The fence to the cemetery was partially knocked over when we visited. There were some tombstones that were also knocked over, either due to weathering or vandalism. It would be nice if the local authorities or community would take better care of cemeteries like this one.
