Three Rivers (now known as Three Creeks) Park is by far one of the best Metro Parks in Columbus. We began to visit this park when it was nothing more than a dirt path along side a pond with lots of over-grown grass and weeds. In the fall of 1998, the park service started developing the area into a new metro park. The park now includes 13 miles of hiking, bike, and unimproved trails along with playgrounds, sports fields, canoeing, fishing, and picnicking. More than 100 species of birds have been spotted within the park as well as coyotes, deer, beavers, and other wildlife. The park covers 1,053 acres of forests, prairies, wetlands, and fields. We were in the area one day and decided to stop by and take the photographs and two panoramics below.
