Marysville
5th Street Residence - Music from a doll can be heard at this home on West 5th Street, even when no one has been in the particular room for days. (Thanks to Lauren for submitting this haunting).
Lentz Butter Tub Company - This large brick building stood on the west side of Chestnut Street and later became an auto parts store. It was during this stage of the buildings history, sometime in the 1970s, when an employees started to hear mysterious footsteps on the stairway at night. Old invoices that were on file would sometimes end up in the middle of the floor when employees would leave the room.
Ohio Reformatory for Women - It is said that long ago there was an inmate who was repeatedly raped. Scared that she would tell, the man killed her and made it look like a suicide. It is also believed that she was pregnant, but no one knows for sure. Inmates and some corrections officers have reported seeing her. She can sometimes be seen peering out the window of the cottage where she was murdered on the third floor, which is no longer in use, but used for storage. Others have said that after they are locked in the rooms for the night, she will go around and unlock doors, as if checking on the inmates. Her loud cries can occasionally be heard late at night. It is believed that she also pushed at least one corrections officer down some steps. It is said that she will not rest until justice is done.
The Castle, Bed and Breakfast - Built in 1884, there are reports of seeing black shadowy figures and having eerie feelings while at the bed and breakfast. One report tells of hearing voices near the front door when no one is around.
Raymond
Raymond Elementary School - The school presently located at the site was built in 1914, but a school has been on the grounds for more than 150 years. Mysterious banging noises and ghostly voices can be heard during the night. The library is where the occurrences are most often heard.
