I have lived in Nashville for quite a long time and never thought of it as eerie or possessing any paranormal activity. Gradually I have come to change my mind. Chronologically what happened to me goes back to when I was younger, about age 12. It was around Halloween and a few kids older than I was went into the forest for fun, just to get outside. They apparently heard something and saw a strange creature and went running to a friends parents house, faces pale in a state of near hysteria. Fast forward a few years to when I was maybe 15. A friend of mine lived down by the school and said late at night, around 2 AM he would hear strange noises. Fast forward one more time to when I was 17 going on 18 and a friend and I were at the school around midnight sitting in the parking lot, talking about music and our lives (this is a good time to point out that my friend and I were not into drugs or alcohol). At the time neither of us were thinking of anything unusual, and I had totally forgotten about the strange noises and sighting of the creature until my friend and I heard this noise. It came from the forest behind the school and sounded like a mix between a large cat growling and an ear piercing high-pitched scream. My friend and I looked at each other confused. So we walked back about 100 feet from the edge of the forest and listened. Once more we heard it, except this time it was much more loud and highly defined. We got scared and decided to get out of there. We turned around and walked maybe 20 feet when standing two or three feet in front of us was a shadow maybe three and a half feet high that had the upper body of a human and its legs looked like a goat or pig; with its knees going in instead of out like a human. We said to each other "Are you seeing that?" "Yeah! What is it?" "I don't know!" and it seemed as if we were in this things way and soon enough it went around us and darted around the side of the school. At the time we just described it as being "darker than dark."

The last time we went to the school we had brought a disposable camera hoping to take a picture of it. As soon as we had started walking back there we saw it in a spot near where it was the first time we saw it. This time, though, it was standing up pointing its head around like it was looking for something. The creature was probably six and a half or seven feet tall with pasty white skin. It was naked and didn't look like it had genitalia. Its head was very similar to a human's, but its facial features were very different. Its eyes glowed red when caught in the light, it seemed to have only holes where its nose was and its mouth was very long, stretching almost from ear to ear with what looked to be very pronounced incisor-like teeth. It was not very muscular but also not very big. It had the physique of a runner or swimmer. Its body was barely spotted with hair. Almost immediately after we saw it looking around, it took a few strides and jumped onto a tree and climbed it incredibly quickly with all four limbs. It was very aggressive and seeing something like that made us scream. It looked down at us from up in the tree and pointed its head in confusion. We stood there dazed by what was going on, and a few moments later it left the tree (even though we could barely tell). We looked around trying to spot it, and after taking a few steps toward the forest, it made the noise again and came out from the forest maybe 150 feet from us. It was standing there in full view, but just on the edge of the forest still. It paced back and forth in a very aggressive manner occasionally looking at us, and we took a few steps toward it, snapped a picture and ran.

Unfortunately the camera I had used was mixed up with other disposables and thrown away. So now all I have is this story and a friend who can attest to it. This was in the summer of 2004 and since then I only heard it once. I told another friend about it and he went for walks with me to the school and only once did we hear the noise. I haven't told many people, but the people I have told have said that for sure we saw a shadow person and the creature we saw could have been many things. I've heard everything from grays to different aliens to demons and everything in between. I don't know what to think of it anymore, but as something I will never forget.
