The OES visited the Scioto Township District No. 2 Schoolhouse on October 18, 2002. Located on Snyder Road between Commercial Point and Orient, we stumbled upon this very well preserved schoolhouse while driving around. The school was built in 1888, serving many years educating the area's youth. It eventually ended up in private hands. The school was restored and was added to the National Register of Historical Places in 1987. Not much else is known about the school, if you know anything, please email .
