The Stories &
Contributions page in the Paranormal Section has been updated with a story and
photos from Lutheran Ridge Cemetery in Carey, Ohio. It
includes photographs of the cemetery's legendary Copley tombstone taken in 1958.
Added our appearances on Q92 and
Mix 102.7, and a mention in a
Marion Star article about OAPI to the In The Media
page. A new category entitled Historical Photos
has been added to the Miscellaneous Section. It features historical photos
of locations throughout the State of Ohio. Pages added to

10/25/2005 Added two EVPs from the Q92 Warehouse on the Canal investigation. Both were recorded by Investigator Matt Stilwell in the basement. More updates to come!
10/23/2005 Updated the Moonville Tunnel page in the Stories & Contributions section with a new story. Hauntings have been added/updated for the following counties: Erie, Franklin, Hamilton, Hardin, Lucas, Meigs, Morrow, Shelby, and Wood. And lastly, added the paranormal investigation results from the Warehouse on the Canal to the Paranormal Section. It includes a video of one of our investigators being punched in the stomach by something unseen. Make sure to tune in to Q92 tomorrow night for our investigation at the Hercules Engine Factory, AKA The Factory of Terror! Results from the Haunted Laboratory will be published soon, along with any new evidence found from our other Q92 ghost hunts.
10/09/2005 Added the paranormal investigation results from the Q92 Radio Station to the Paranormal Section. The update includes one EVP recording and a description of events during the investigation. 10/01/2005 Renamed the Parks & Fields section to Parks & Nature section; and split into three categories: Local / City Parks, State / National Parks, and Nature Sites. Also, thanks to all who shows up at the Factory of Terror last night and for checking out our appearance on Q92! Make sure to tune in Monday for our first official Q92 ghost hunt.
09/22/2005 Our trip to Malabar Farm has been added to the Parks & Fields section, as well as our paranormal investigation results from the farm to the Paranormal Section...including fifteen EVPs and a possible apparition photo! Added an article from Cleveland's Scene Magazine featuring our friends Matt and George at Ohio Lost. Thanks to James Renner, Scene Magazine writer, for mentioning the OES in the article. Also added an article featuring the OES' and COPS' paranormal investigation at Malabar Farm. Thanks to Kevin Parks, his wife, and photographer Chris Parker for attending the investigation with us and publishing this great article! 08/30/2005 The Ohio Exploration Society is transferring their domain name to a different registrar. The website may go down for up to seven days while this process takes place. But for now, we've added Equipment We Use to the Tips & Guides page of the Information Section.
08/23/2005 A bit of sad news today. Ninjalicious (of Infiltration.org and Infiltration Zine magazine) has passed away, after battling a terminal illness for the past few months. For those who do not know who Ninjalicious, he was the founder of the modern day urban exploration subculture. It was he that sparked the interest in urban exploration and if not for him, many of today's best urban exploration websites and groups would not exist. Thank you Ninjalicious, you will be missed.
08/08/2005 Hauntings have been added or updated for the following counties: Ashtabula, Butler, Clermont, Cuyahoga, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Holmes, Knox, Miami, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, and Tuscarawas. The Ohio State House and the Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Division have been added to the Stories & Contributions page of the Paranormal Section, and Elisabeth's Grave has been updated. And finally, the Athens Ridges has been added to the Hospitals/Medical Facilities page of the Structures Section along with two EVPs that are also on the EVP Recordings page.
07/21/2005 Updated the Haydenville Tunnel page with new photos of the "far side" of the tunnel that is rarely seen. Also added yet another EVP that was recorded in the tunnel saying "Take That". A submitted photo of a possible Ghost In The Window has been added to the Stories & Contributions page of the Paranormal Section, thanks to Abe and Jamie for submitting it! And last, but certainly not least, the Forest Rose Cemetery has been added to the Large Cemeteries page of the Cemeteries Section. It includes four EVPs recorded in partnership with COPS and an awesome photo of what appears to be an apparition standing on the hillside, a MUST SEE!!!
07/12/2005 Could it be? Another update in less than 24 hours? Well you're not dreaming, and this update solves a mystery more than 75 years old. If you have ever heard of Doctor James Howard Snook, you know his gruesome tale of adultery and murder. You'll also know that Green Lawn Cemetery has kept the location of his grave a secret since his burial in 1930 after being executed. The OES has solved the mystery! Added today is the Doctor James Howard Snook page to the Other Stuff page of the Miscellaneous Section. Included are his story, photos of his grave, and the exact location where he is buried!
07/11/2005 As promised, this update is a big one! First on the list is the Huntington Chapel/Mausoleum to the Mausoleums/Crematories page under Structures, including a 360º interactive panoramic and four EVPs. An abandoned I-71 Rest Area has been added to the Transportation page under Miscellaneous. EVPs have been added to the Haydenville Tunnel and Elisabeth's Grave pages, as well as the EVP Recordings page. Haydenville Tunnel has also been updated with a video of a possible rod. A breath-taking photo of what appears to be an apparition taken by Michelle Schrader of Alliance, Ohio at the Moonville Tunnel has been added to the Stories & Contributions page under the Paranormal Section, and to the Moonville Tunnel page in Structures. Green Lawn Cemetery has been added to the Large Cemeteries page and the Old Agudas Achim Cemetery has been added to the Small Cemeteries page of the Cemeteries Section. Each cemetery includes an EVP Recording. And lastly, a Meet The Members page has been added to the About The OES page under Information.
06/10/2005 The OES is five years old this month! Check out the Five Year Anniversary page located in the Information Section under "About The OES". Updated information on the Trash Burning Power Plant that once loomed over South Columbus after discovering that a worker was killed during the construction of the plant in 1981. New hauntings have been added to Ashtabula, Belmont, Fairfield, Franklin, Pike, and Tuscarawas Counties. New pages in Stories & Contributions are the Garnett Wilson Library, College Hall - Lake Erie College, and the East King Street Residence. The next update will be a large one, so be prepared!!!

The Wesley Chapel has been added to the Churches/Chapels page of the Structures Section. And finally, the Harding Memorial has been added to the Mausoleum/Crematory page of the Structures Section. 04/25/2005 Renamed UE Information to Information and reorganized it's content. A new section for Books & Reference has been added to the Tips & Guides page of the new Information Section. Also added today are photos from the CSX / Norfolk Southern Railroad Tower. They have been added to the Other Structures page of the Structures Section.

04/10/2005 A new, mysterious video taken during an OES trip to Moonville Tunnel in March of 2005 has been added to the Moonville Tunnel page along with an EVP recorded on the same night. Also added a new article to the In The Media section from October of 2004 where the OES was mentioned in the Our Town Newspaper.
03/23/2005 Three updates today. First, added to the Factories/Plants section of Structures is the Trash Burning Power Plant in Columbus that was recently destroyed. It includes a video of the smoke stack implosion. The haunted Lick Road near Cincinnati has been uploaded to Transportation of Miscellaneous, and more first-hand accounts from Lick Road have been added in the Stories & Contributions section. And lastly, the first public paranormal investigation results posting has been added for Case #5002002JPMGR. Nine EVPs recorded during the case are also listed on the EVP Recordings page. Added in the past few days, but not documented, is a PayPal button on the OES FAQs page for those who wish to donate to the OES. We're also proud to announce that we are an official member of the Ohio Association of Paranormal Societies web-ring!
03/01/2005 A small update, two links were added to the Links Section today. They are to the Central Ohio Paranormal Society (COPS) and Afterlife Ohio websites. A larger update with new content is coming soon!
02/06/2005 A new section has been added to the Hauntings Menu entitled Paranormal Investigation Results. This is the area where descriptions of our paranormal investigations and evidence collected are posted. All of the cases as of today's date are private, and therefore, are password protected. Public cases will be posted in the near future for everyone to enjoy.
01/16/2005 The first update of 2005 brings some new photos. Added today is the very dilapidated Swisher Brick House to the Houses/Homes section of Structures and the haunted Hayden Mausoleum to the Mausoleums/Crematories section of Structures. New hauntings and plenty more locations will be coming soon.
