| The OES stumbled upon Marsh Cemetery on May 7, 2001 while leaving the Gantz Homestead. This small cemetery is off of Home Road, west of Gantz Road, across from Gantz Park. The 10 tombstones here are in fair condition and date back as far as 1852. The cemetery itself was founded in 1853. There are soldiers from both the War of 1812 and the Civil War buried here. We believe that there are some unmarked graves here as well, due to the conditions of the stones. The cemetery is maintained by Jackson Township trustees. | |
