This page is stepping away from our traditional postings about abandoned/historical places around Ohio and taking us straight to a war zone. One of our members was stationed in Iraq for some time and was authorized to take a few tours of abandoned palaces, some of them just shells that had been bombed. Below you'll see the pictures he took while on the tours. The pictures are broken down to three sections. First are photos of the bombed and gutted palaces. On page two, there are photos taken from inside the Al Faw Palace and some cityscapes taken around the town. It is almost a guarantee that you won't see any of these locations on another urban exploration website!
