Below are historical photos of the
Lockbourne, Ohio located in Franklin County. Lockbourne was established around
the time that the Ohio/Erie Canal carved its way through Central Ohio. Many of
the original residents of the town worked on the canal and its support
functions. The photos below were taken in 1956, long after the canal was
abandoned and trains took its place.
