The OES visited the Haydenville House on April 27, 2002. There are rows upon rows of identical brick houses that line the roads of Haydenville. Most of the houses were narrow two-story houses. This house is one of the few that are a little different from the norm. Maybe it was the differences in this house that made it worthy to become the future Haydenville Museum. But on our trip there it was one of Haydenville's many abandoned places. Haydenville's Historical Marker is located in front of this house, containing a brief overview of Haydenville's history.  Inside the house looked like a typical abandoned house...lots of dust, broken windows, busted walls, and chipped paint. We did not venture to the upstairs area of the house as the stairs did not seem sound. Maybe when the residents of this small community gather enough money to open the museum we'll return to Haydenville for an update.
