| The OES visited Grove City Cemetery on July
3, 2003 just after midnight. The main portion of the cemetery was
established in 1906 with nine acres of land. The nearby Saint John's
Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, also known as the German Lutheran
Cemetery, that dated back to 1830 was relocated here, so there is a
small section of cemetery that predates the cemetery's
establishment. The grounds are kept in excellent condition and there
is minimal damage to the tombstones. While the newer section offers
some unique stones, the most interesting are those in the older
section at the rear of the cemetery, most of which are written in
old German script. It is in the older section where we believe that we captured
a possible apparition on a photo. Nothing unusual happened during
our investigation, which yielded no results except for this photo.
There appears to be a figure standing just behind a tombstone. Below
are the photos that we took while at the cemetery. |

This is the newer section of Grove City Cemetery. Those are only perimeter lights, not orbs. This newer tombstone had an older-looking angel atop it. Another look at the newer section of the cemetery. The sign marking the start of the older Lutheran Cemetery. This section of the cemetery is distinctly different than the newer section. They are made in classic 1800's style and some are written in German. This is a group of children/infant graves in the older section. The headless tombstone of Adam Weinhard, who died January 22, 1884. A beautiful angel statue atop the headstone of Karolina Ranke, who died on 3/25/1900. Dying on November 26, 1905, this tombstone belongs to Nicholas Jenny. The stone of Albert Morreil, who died sometime in 1899. From the Haensel Family, this stone dates to 1903. Located in the newer section, this stone belongs to Karl Becker, who died in the 1900s. The sideways tombstone of a member of the Kaufmann Family. A sleeping statue is atop this marble gravestone. A very interesting black iron cross tombstone. Tombs for a father and a mother. This grave had a small wall built around it, marking it's location. A creepy photo of the shadow of the cross on a stone. Look closely near the middle of the photo and you will see what appears to be an apparition. The possible apparition has been outlined in this photo for clarity purposes. Here is a close-up look at whatever or whoever appeared in this photo.
This is the newer section of Grove City Cemetery.
