The OES visited the Concord United Methodist Cemetery on May 7, 2001. We had been to the cemetery previously to take photos of the church west of the cemetery. Founded in 1849, most of the tombstones here were in fairly good condition. The tombstone of Elma Brewers is perhaps the oldest burial in the cemetery, as she died in April 1849...the same year the cemetery was founded. The cemetery also contains burials of veterans of the Civil War. A newer section of the cemetery is located on the other side of a small creek and is still in use. The cemetery is located at the busy intersection of London-Groveport Road and Hoover Road in Grove City, next to the Concord United Methodist Church.
